Preview Hosting

Preview hosting lets you attach a static app build to a Vizzly build.

Reviewers can click through the actual UI that produced the screenshots.

Upload a preview

Run your visual build first, then upload the static output:

Terminal window
npx vizzly run "npm test"
npx vizzly preview ./dist

If the preview upload runs separately, pass the build explicitly:

Terminal window
npx vizzly preview ./dist --build <build-id>

Private and public projects

For public projects, previews can use direct public URLs.

For private projects, preview access uses signed URLs. The CLI requires --public-link so you explicitly acknowledge that anyone with the link can open that preview.

Terminal window
npx vizzly preview ./dist --public-link

What the CLI supports

Common options:

  • --build
  • --open
  • --dry-run
  • --public-link
  • --base
  • --exclude
  • --include

Troubleshooting

If preview upload cannot find a build, either:

  • run it after vizzly run in the same session
  • pass --build

For parallel CI, run vizzly finalize <parallel-id> first, then pass the finalized build ID with --build if the preview runs in a different session.
